CPC Legacy Funds

WHAT ARE CPC LEGACY FUNDS?

CPC Legacy Funds (formerly known as the CPC Foundation) were created in 1965 by members of the Carmel Presbyterian Church as a tangible expression of their faithfulness to God’s call to love and care for one another and to spread the Gospel. CPC Legacy Funds enable members of our Church to create a lasting legacy which will sustain its ministries for the benefit of future generations. Since its inception, through donations and earnings, more than $4 million has flowed through CPC Legacy Funds to support the mission of our Church.

CPC LEGACY FUNDS BASICS

CPC Legacy Funds consist of several unique funds divided into two categories – unrestricted and restricted. Monies in the unrestricted fund can be used for any purpose consistent with our Church’s mission. Allocation from this fund is determined by the CPC Legacy Funds Board and approved by the Session of our Church. Restricted funds are used for a particular purpose as specified by the wishes of the donor.

Donations to CPC Legacy Funds come from several sources. CPC Legacy Funds accept cash and stock holdings, gifts from wills, life insurance policies, trusts and real estate. An individual can make donations to any of the CPC Legacy Funds' existing funds as a one-time gift or even on a monthly basis.

A listing of these funds is provided below.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR CPC LEGACY FUNDS?

The CPC Legacy Funds Board is considering ways it can magnify its impact on the mission and ministries of Carmel Presbyterian Church by growing the financial capability of its existing funds and by creating new funds. Even small gifts can make a lasting difference! If your desire is to establish a new fund or include CPC in your estate planning, please contact one of the CPC Legacy Funds Board members who will explore with you, in confidence, ways in which your gift can fulfill the mission of Carmel Presbyterian Church now and for years to come.

SOME OF YOU MAY ASK...

Should I give to CPC Legacy Funds or to CPC’s annual operating needs? CPC Legacy Funds address unique needs outside the Church’s operating budget and are generally long term in nature. Giving to CPC will satisfy its operating needs for the upcoming year. Our prayer is you will consider both.
